As an official and accredited Travel Alberta community Visitor Information Centre, we have trained Alberta travel counsellors to assist you with your travels within our community and Alberta.
The Millet Visitor Information Centre is located
within the Millet and District Museum and Archives.
Winter Hours start Sept 4, 2012 Tuesday & Thursday 1:00-4:30 p.m.
CLOSED Friday December 7, 2012 until Tuesday January 8, 2013
Summer Hours start Tuesday May 21, 2013 until Saturday, August 24, 2013

Summer Fire Bans
Fire Bans are up across the entire province due to the numerous amounts of wildfires that are occuring across the province. Province wide, Alberta has deployed approximately 1,000 firefighters, The province has also deployed 124 helicopters, 20 air tankers and scores of heavy ground-based machines. Evacuation orders are issued locally by municipalities as part of declaring a state of local emergency. The orders may be voluntary or mandatory, and may cover all or part of a municipality.Emergency medical staff are onsite and available should evacuees require assistance or medication. Meals are available as well as counseling services and spiritual resources upon request. Evacuees are welcome to stay at the reception centers for as long as required. Evacuees with alternate accommodations. All displaced residents should call the Red Cross Central Registration Inquiry Bureau to register their information at 1-800-565-4483. By registering, loved ones are able to check on the status and location of displaced residents.
