Seniors in a Digital World: Smartphone Course

This summer the Millet & District Museum will be offering a FREE technology course for seniors. This twelve week program will develop your ability to get the most out of your smart phone. We’ll also learn more about creating exhibits to preserve memory, and a take two bus tours to Fort Edmonton and the Telus World of Science.

This 12 week program begins on May 3. Must be a Millet and area resident and member of the Millet Seniors Club.  Funded by New horizons for Seniors.

Seniors in a Digital World

Keep your eyes out for this upcoming program, presented by the Millet & District Museum in partnership with the Millet Seniors Club and funded by New Horizons for Seniors. 

Over twelve weeks, the program will teach skills like:

  1. Computer/ Tablet Basics 
  2. Creating Strong Passwords 
  3. Using the Internet 
  4. Using Email 
  5. Safely Using Facebook 
  6. Creating Digital Documents  
  7. Participating in Virtual Meetings 
  8. Entertainment Applications 
  9. Safely Banking Online 
  10. Using the Canadian Pension Website 
  11. Safely Shopping Online
  12. Taking and Storing Photos

The program will be open to all Millet seniors. 

Tuesdays, September 27-December 14, 2:30-4:30PM. By registration only.

Art Programs

In 2019, the Millet Museum ran art programs for adults, as part of the Real Women travelling exhibit. Participants learnt how to create their own image transfers.
