Poppy Photo Contest

Thanks to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #229, Millet, for donating 400 poppy seed packs to be given to Griffiths-Scott School students!
Send us your pictures of your poppies in bloom to info@milletmuseum.ca or via Facebook Messenger to Visit Millet by June 24 to be entered into a prize draw for one of the four prizes shown below. All photos will be used for promotional Canada Day materials.

2022 Summer Programs

Who: Our programs are open to all ages. We plan our activities for ages 5-10 specifically. Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult. (We encourage parents to remain with their children of all ages. If you are intending to drop off your child, please ensure they capable of participating on their own.) 

Where: Millet & District Museum, 5120 50St. Weather permitting we will be in the park space to the north of the building. If we are not outside, please come into the Museum. 

What: Our heritage based programs focus around a wide variety of themed activities. Weather permitting, our programs are held outside and contain a gardening component.

When: Every Monday and Wednesday from 1:00-3:00PM, starting June 20 and ending August 24. 

What should I send with my child?: Weather permitting, we hold most of our programs outside. Please send your child in weather appropriate clothing; this includes sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle. 

Release Form: All program participants are required to fill out and sign our release form. You can fill the form out online HERE or fill it out when you arrive at the Museum. This form is especially important if you will be dropping your child off at our programs, as it helps us be aware of any allergies, medical concerns, and contact information. 

How do I register?: Program registration will be made available on a weekly basis. Drop-ins may be accepted, subject to staff and supply capacity. Please pre-register each week to ensure your place.

Art Club

The Millet Museum is excited to be hosting Art Club, Paint Nights, and Summer Art Camps with Miss V! 

Vienna Corbett (Miss V) has been teaching art classes for the last eight years. She works with different mediums such as acrylic, oil, watercolour, pastels, and more. She has her art displayed in local locations and has had her creations displayed in galleries and showcased at events. Miss V runs art club for all ages in Leduc, Devon, Beaumont, South Edmonton, and Millet. Teaching young people is her passion as she guides them through creativity and watches as they build friendships and masterpieces! 

Art Club (Ages 5-9) 

Art Club runs monthly twice a month. Each month we will work with a different medium. The children take home one completed project a month. 

Cost: $65/month (covers supplies & the class -1.5 hours twice a month)

Teen Paint Night 

Teens deserve to have fun too! Miss V leads the group step by step through a fun acrylic painting. Laughs are shared and masterpieces are created.

Creativity Club runs for three days at five hours a day. $160/camp covers the three days per child. Children are required to bring a packed lunch, water, outdoor appropriate clothing, and sunscreen/hat.
