Following Health Regulations

1. We will be offering the programs over four different time slots, with ten participants and two staff members for each time slot.

2. Program participants will be physically distanced from staff and other participants.

3. Before attending a Museum program, please fill out the COVID-19 Program Screening Form. If this form is not filled out prior to your arrival, the staff will require you to fill out a paper form before participating. We will take each participants temperature prior to participation.

If you or your child is feeling unwell or showing any symptoms leading up to a Museum Program, please stay home. Note: We ask you please contact us if you will be unable to attend a program you registered for. This helps our staff know how to plan for programs and allows us to offer the space to people on our waiting list.

4. Until the Town of Millet and County of Wetaskiwin Face Covering Bylaws are removed, participants must wear appropriate face coverings when not physically distancing.

5. We will be following proper hand and respiratory hygiene.

6. Supplies will be used individually, then isolated and sanitized between programs.

We recommend registering one week at a time. Please only register if you intend to attend. If you cannot attend a program you have registered for, please contact us. If you fail to attend 3 programs you have registered for, without contacting the Museum, you will not be registered for programs for the remainder of the summer.

Programs for Preschoolers

The Millet & District Museum, Archives and Visitor Information Centre has run two programs specifically for pre-school aged children:

1. Canada Program (January-March 2020)

This onsite program used crafts, activities, and stories to interactively teach the climate, geography, animals, food, sports, and culture of each of the Canadian provinces and territories.

2. Pre-school Kit Program (September 2020 - March 2021)

This activity-kit based program was designed to teach basic pre-academic skills from home. Activities, crafts, and stories focused on literacy, numeracy, emotional regulation, and learning shapes and colours.

The Museum is not offering any pre-school specific programs at this time. Parents of pre-school children over age four are encouraged to look into our 2021 Summer Programs.
